Before Dan and I had kids, even before the thought of having kids, way back to the beginning of our relationship, there has always been one thing that has stuck with us as one of our favorite things to do together… going to the movies.
We would go every Tuesday night, whether we saw an early movie or a late movie, we would be there. Nothing would stop us and we would work around anything to make sure we could make it. I remember we would both be in school, sometimes until 8 or 8:30 pm, Dan coming from Kitchener and I would come from Guelph and somehow we still managed to meet up by 9 pm for the movie. We were extremely dedicated to the movies and it just became our “thing.”
After having kids it has become difficult to go as often as we once could. We would go pretty regularly when we had Emily, but after the triplets were born, we have only gone a handful of times together. I know when they are a little older, it will be easier to leave them and maybe we can get back to going more often or at least once a month.
Last night we actually made it to the movies! It was a last minute idea, well more like mid afternoon idea, but it worked out and this was our first time in a long time! To celebrate our movie night out, we wanted to share a movie night out with someone else! This is our first giveaway on our blog, so we are very excited and we hope you are too!
We want to give away a $50 gift card to the movies!
To qualify you must subscribe to our blog, either through your Word Press account or through email and then leave a comment on this blog post telling us which movie you are excited to see this summer! It’s very simple to do and you can find the link to sign up on the right hand side, just below the Twitter news feed.
We will have a draw and announce our lucky winner next Friday July 22, 2016.
For those who have already subscribed, you are automatically entered.

Make your movie night at home. Rent a movie you want to see. Fix a meal for the 2 of you and a bottle of wine. put the kids to bed and there you go.It’s cheaper in the long run.

I would honestly just love go go to the movies with my partner:) son thing we use to do most of the time before having our little princess 😀 it doesn’t bother me that we dong do it as often because when we get to do it now we appreciate it more 🙂 love spending each and everyday with my girl but someones a wee break is just nice for some guilty time alone 🙂 i don’t have a specific movie as i don’t really know whats out at the minute, so i suppose we would just decide on the night 😗 good luck everyone 🙂 everyone deserves a little break every once in a while xxx

My husband and I also love the movies, it’s our thing. It’s been difficult since our little one came along so we’ve been attending stars and strollers sometimes (he will use vacation time and come home for the movie). We look forward to the movies so much but sadly we haven’t been able to go the last few times. We love easy going comedies and would like to see Finding Dory or Bad Moms!

(We went for my sons 9th bday) Would love to get out for a date night to see bad moms. That may be impossible so seeing Finding Dory with kiddos would be just as awesome! Thanks for the giveaway.
