Movies and Outside Fun with Mom

Last week I ventured out with Emily, Jackson, Olivia and Levi and was brave enough to take them to the movies. Although I did get them ready in the morning and out the door by myself, I wasn’t alone. I picked up my sister Taylor on the way and we met Amanda, Steve and Hailey at the movies. Steve is Dan’s bother, Amanda is Steve’s wife and Hailey is their daughter and also Emily and the triplets’ cousin. I was very lucky that Taylor, Amanda and Steve were able to go and to have their help at the movies!

We saw Finding Dory and from what I did watch of it, it was very cute and a really good movie for kids of all ages. Dan took Emily to see Finding Dory last weekend so it was her second time seeing the movie, but she still enjoyed it. The triplets were pretty good for the most part, but got a little restless and needed to be taken out of their seats. This was when the help from Taylor, Amanda and Steve was key to a successful movie adventure. I don’t know how I would have been able to handle all three squirming and wanting out if I was alone. There are some places and things I know I could do with Emily and the triplets by myself and then there are some things I know I would not be able to do, the movies being one of them!

Before I left for the movies, I had to prepare and pack everything I needed. Originally I was hoping to bring their portable high chairs and have them sit there with a tray. I could put food down for them to eat while watching the movie, in hopes of keeping them a little more entertained. I realized once I got there, it would be too much to bring them in with everything else I had, so I didn’t bother. I did however, pack tons of food and brought it all with me. I packed almost half a box of cheerios, a bottle for the triplets and Emily, as well as sippy cups with water, a peanut butter sandwich for Emily, bananas. apple sauce and some bread for the triplets to eat. Sure enough, during the hour and a half movie, I went through everything except one banana.

Later on, we went over to my mom’s and we played in the backyard. Our backyard at home is two big hills, which makes it difficult to have the triplets play outside, where as my mom’s is flat, which gives them the ability to fun around freely. They love to just run around and it was nice for them to be outside enjoying some fresh air.

Here is a video of some of our day last week!

It was nice to get out of the house and it was a good way to cool down. I enjoyed Finding Dory and I think everyone else did too, but I will for sure need to watch it again when it comes out on DVD. Even with all the work that went along with taking them to the movies, it was worth it, I just don’t think I would take them every week!
